URBANCOUGAR.COM GOES OUT INTO THE WILD
The premier website for the cougar lifestyle opens for business.
SAN FRANCISCO, November 5, 2004 - Urbancougar.com, the web’s premier source for the promotion of the cougar lifestyle, officially launches today. To celebrate the launch, a special party will take place on November 6, 2004, at San Francisco’s Fluid.
Urbancougar.com is dedicated to celebrating the beautiful older women out there, otherwise known as "cougars," who have broken with convention and dedicated themselves to the seduction of younger (often much younger) men. "We just thought it was time for society to embrace, not to discourage and frown upon, an older woman who mauls men seven or so years her junior," says President and Co-Founder Cash Money. "The time for double standards is over."
CEO and Co-Founder Dynomite says his team "wanted to create a valuable resource for both cougars and their prey" a place where they could come together, trade stories, exchange tips, and hook up." Features of the website include a brief history of the phenomenon, a section highlighting the best bars and clubs around the world for hunting, stories and anecdotes about cougar encounters, a store for cougar-related merchandise, and a dating section, thecougarconnection.com, aimed at bringing cougars and prey together in an intimate online setting. "If all goes well, those intimate online encounters will turn into offline ones," says Dynomite.
The initial launch will also introduce urbancougar.com’s first official Cougar of the Month. "Hef can have his little girls, all of whom were born in like 1985," says Money. "Our featured women, will be just that, women - beautiful, experienced, worldly. We know there’s a market for them among young men because we’ve been chasing cougars for years ourselves. And trust me, we’re not alone."
Dynomite added, "We’re going after Playboy and his mansion. Tell, Hef to look the fuck out!"
Urbancougar.com hopes to develop a Cougar of the Month calendar for 2005 and is actively soliciting possible participants. "We don’t think cougars need to keep a low profile," says Dynomite. "What better way to announce yourself to the world than to say, ‘Hi, I’m Jane, Ms. February.’"
Urbancougar.com is based in San Francisco and has a sales office in New York.
