Maintaining That Feline Allure: Self-Tanner
Few things are more damaging to the cougar coat than the sun. Wrinkles, leathery skin, cancer – each is a real risk from overexposure to UV rays. Thankfully the scientists at Neutrogena and Clinique have equipped women with self-tanner. Spray it on or rub it in and immediately the cougar is transformed into the very picture of feline beauty. Her golden skin calls to prey like a dermatological Pied Piper. And yet, the power of self-tanner is so strong, it often becomes addicting. If you’re not careful your wonderful tawny bronze will evolve into an Oompa-Loomp orange.

By: doh Comments: (99)Self-tanners seem like the the simple answer to avoiding UV rays. Unfortunately, they are not so benign. Many of them are rated as being moderate to highly hazardous to health by the Environmental Working Group, an independent scientific organization that analyzes and rates cosmetic safety. The big issues are endocrine disruption, possible allergic reaction, the increased potential for cancer, reproductive toxicity, and more! I'd recommend going to cosmeticsdatabase.com and looking at products' safety profiles before leaping.
