Shania' Back!

Shania Twain emerged from wherever she's been hiding to basically steal the show at the Country Music Awards. And, sakes alive, is she looking better than ever. 

Shania's been keeping a low profile since her split with ex-husband Mutt Lange. Consider us among those delighted to see her step out in public again and remind us of the main reason modern country music is worth paying attention to: hot chicks. Pop country has basically cornered this growth market. Not convinced? Consider this, this and most of all this. And while we're at it, this and this. We don't really know who any of these women are, but we bet their music is awesome.

But our attention was focused entirely on Shania. She looked drop dead gorgeous presenting the Entertainer of the Year Award to Kenny Chesney. Chesney claims to have flirted with her, and who really can blame him. Emerging talents like Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler may be the future of country music, but Shania proved she's still the gold standard.

While Shania didn't take home any awards at the show, she gets our coveted Best Excuse to Sit Through the CMAs award!
