Drew Barrymore, Self-Professed Cougar
Is Drew Barrymore a cougar? According to Page Six, she sure thinks she is and seems damn proud of it:
DREW Barrymore likes younger men, but at 33, she's not old enough to be a cougar. While sipping martinis at the Sunset Tower Hotel in LA recently, she confided to Liv Tyler, "I love dating younger guys. I'm a bona-fide cougar." But, Life & Style magazine reports, Tyler, 31, replied, "Aren't we pumas? I think pre-cougar is puma." Drew - who recently hooked up with Ed Westwick, 21, and has dated Fabrizio Moretti, 28, and Justin Long, 30 - loved the new label.
God bless, Drew. And God bless her for knowing what she is. She's a cougar through and through. Because being a cougar isn't about age, it's about attitude. All this nonsense about you having to be such and such an age has to stop. It's all relative, folks.
And Puma? Yeah, we've heard this before, Liv. But as far as we're concerned a Puma is either just another name for a cougar or a pretty Euro sports fashion brand.
Yes! Nothing is better for the cougar revolution than a little cougar pride. Got get em, Drew. And Liv, very dissapointing... Pumas? First it's all about the attitude, and second you are well old enough to be a cougar. A 22 year old is a decade younger... that's coug action!

Apparently the term cougar has been so devalued and lowered so much that any woman that dates younger can call herself a cougar and of course they will. This is like calling yourself a senior citizen at 33, your NOT. WOW! how low can the new urban cougar terminology go before a hard standard is established
