Cougar Conundrum: Is Jennifer Aniston Really a Cougar?

The big news in the world of Cougardom recently has been Jennifer Aniston’s very-public romance with John Mayer. Reports are coming in that the affair has ended, to the surprise of no one. Anniston is notoriously unlucky in love and Mayer just has too much tail wagging at him right now to reasonably expect him not to chase it. The reasons for the breakup are unclear. Some argue Anniston ditched Mayer because of his wandering eye and for striking out, while others claim he broke it off because he just isn’t ready to settle down. Whatever the story, one of the most visible cougar relationships has ended and it’s post-mortem time.

Women seem to love Jennifer Anniston, maybe because she’s super cute, seems nice and has been dicked over a number of times. They just want her to win. The ladies over at WowOwoW even call her their favorite cougar.

But that’s the question, no? Is she really a cougar? We’re really torn on this. Clearly she’s been dating younger men of late, but being a cougar is about more than dating younger men; it’s an attitude and we’re just not sure Anniston’s got it. She just seems to lack the requisite confidence and comes across as pretty needy and clingy. These are just not marks of a cougar. Of course this might simply be the media’s portrayal of her, but if we accept perception as reality then we really have to question her Queen Cougar status. Now if the reports that she dumped Mayer for this cheesy manmeat, then we might reconsider but for now we’re unconvinced she’s the real deal.
